The palm grove of Marrakech has over 100,000 palm trees dating back to the Almoravid dynasty in an area of more than 13.000 hectares. The palm grove is considered an exclusive area of the city and is the centre of a major development plan that includes homes, hotels and golf courses. For now it retains a sense of mystique and existing developments are not intrusive.
The palm grove is a source of wealth for the city. In addition to the dates and the wood which are obtained by hand, it enjoys the perfect climate for the fruit trees and plantations that grow there.
We offer an ½ day excursion to the palm grove of Marrakech which includes a visit to a Berber village. Price Includes: return transfer from your hotel or riad, camel ride and tea.
